Faithful to the End

Faithful to the End

Original Post Date – May 14, 2016

I am such a planner. Sometimes in a good way, sometimes to a fault. This makes me really prepared for the most part, and very bad at going with the flow. ha.

But how boring if I could have my way? If I could truly plan every thing and it all work out, what surprises would there ever be? How would God be able to show his faithfulness if I never had to trust him, but could just trust in my own plan?

As I lay in a hospital bed with complete peace over both where we have been and wherever we are headed right now, I can’t help but be in awe of God’s faithfulness.

As I look at mine and my husband’s lives, the lives of our best friends, the lives of people on our teams at Cultivate Church, I see struggle. I see things happening the hard way – not the easy way. I see fighting for what we have and what we’re called to do and be.

But I overwhelmingly see triumph. I see faith being built in the strongest way. I see people more in love with Jesus from having to trust Him through the hard times – not people resentful of the hard times.

As I listen over and over to the song ‘Faithful to the End’ from Bethel Music, I get so overwhelmed with the fact that I have come to trust God so much that he’d have to convince me not to at this point. I don’t have to talk myself into believing he will come through, but I sit and wonder and dream about what the new path might be and what the reason behind it might be. And I can appreciate the fact that this faith didn’t come easy, but I had to fight for it.

“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And hope will not lead to disappointment.”
Romans 5:3-5

Endurance is built on purpose. Determine to trust in all situations. Decide not to over plan so God can show you his BEST.
