It’s a Journey…

It’s a Journey…

So…………..I’m about to share the most embarrassing photos I have ever shared in my LIFE! 🙈 BUT – I am so proud of my results and just have to share! I know that when you start losing weight, it takes a lot longer for other people to notice that anything is changing, but I’m getting asked about it now, so I figured it was time to share!

As I talked about in my previous Coolsculpting post, I got a fire lit under me when I didn’t get the results I was hoping for with my treatment. So I started a TOUGH workout program through bodybuilding.com called Charlie Mike, and started tracking my food through My Fitness Pal. I didn’t cut out anything all of the way, but started being aware of what I was eating, and keeping within a healthy amount of calories for my build. (My Fitness Pal helps you figure out what that is so it’s easy!) I tried to make sure I was packing good nutrition into those calories so I would have as much energy as I could, and drinking TONS of water. I have never been a soda drinker, but I had to cut back on how much coffee creamer I had throughout the day. And Lord, the Starbucks. SO many calories. 😂 Switched to a plain almond milk latte and dropped it to 80 calories. Winner winner.

So, the results…. Know I am mortified of the first pic, but it has to be done. ha. The first pic is July 6, then August 14, then today, November 9 2017. So a 4 month transformation. 17 pounds down, 5 inches down. And 3 different shades of spray tan. 😂🙄

I share as encouragement. It took me what felt like forever to get my mind wrapped around getting myself healthy again. It takes a lot of discipline, but mostly having your mind set on a reasonable goal and knowing that it takes time. There are no short cuts and no supplements that will make the weight fall off. Don’t waste your money. It’s one small change after another until all of a sudden you find yourself craving what is good for your body. I have much more energy now, I can chase my little one around, and I feel good in my clothes again.

Start something! Get healthy! It’s not about being a certain size or shape. It’s about feeling your best. If I’m going to live to be old, I want to feel good doing it. I don’t want to be bent over and crippled. I want to be able to enjoy life. I want you to as well! Any good choice is better than giving in for one more day. Just start!

It makes me feel good to help someone else along, and I also know that having a partner in crime is much easier than being all alone. So join in! Let’s do it together! Healthy is much easier and more fulfilling than dieting. Don’t get them confused. I’m happy to share any tips I have found along the way.

Best of luck to you!!

It can get overwhelming if you try too much at once! Just start with something small. Less soda, or less bread. Something. Any start is better than yesterday! 🙂
